So, What our project is about?

Basically, our project aims to increase awareness of the people about global warming and promote recycling to help global warming in a bid to help minimize the effect of global warming. We will be organizing a talk about global warming and our target audience is the secondary school students from our own school, Chung Cheng High School (Main). We will firstly give an introduction of global warming by describing the symptoms of global warming like rising temperatures so as to let our audience feel the impact of global warming in our everyday life. The talk will cover about the causes of global warming, which we will discuss together with the audience instead of just giving them the facts straight to them, so that they will be more involved in the talk and have a better understanding of what is happening around them. We will brainstorm the possible problems or causes and thus infer the underlying problem. After that, we will cover on the consequences of global warming which we will show them pictures and videos about the effects of global warming, locally and internationally, with explanation. This will lead to the final topic, which are the solutions to global warming. We will talk about the international and national efforts made to reduce global warming and the individual efforts that we can make to play a part in stopping global warming, so as to protect and preserve the earth. At the end of the talk, we will have a short activity where the audience is required to use their creativity to make something useful out of the recyclable materials provided like newspapers, follow by a 15-minute Q&A session. Through this talk, our fellow schoolmates will become more aware about the environment and truly understand the seriousness of global warming. They will also learn how to do their part to save the environment.
To allow our schoolmates to be more involved in stopping global warming, we have also decided to organize competitions. One of the competitions requires our schoolmates to collect used, empty drink cans. The class which collects the most number of cans will be the wining class and prizes will be given. The other competition requires them to crush the used, empty drink cans flat, using their feet. The class which finishes crushing a certain number of cans will be awarded. The crushed cans will then be sent for recycling.
These will increase the awareness of the students of Chung Cheng High School (Main) about global warming.
